MDI Desktop App
The Michigan Data Interface (MDI) is a standardized framework for developing, installing and running HPC data analysis pipelines and interactive R Shiny visualization applications.
The MDI Desktop App is an Electron app that makes it easy to connect to the computer where you will install and run the MDI apps framework and access the apps web server from your Windows or Mac PC.
Basic steps for using the MDI Desktop
- Install the Desktop
- Select an MDI Server Mode
- Configure the connection and file path parameters
- Connect to a remote server (if needed)
- (Re)Install the MDI apps server (if needed)
- Start the apps server
- Upload data or choose an app and do your work
- Stop the server
- Save your configuration for future use
- Close/Quit the Desktop app
